Red Arch Solutions is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join a priority program in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. The role involves building and testing software components in an Agile environment, producing clear technical documentation, and ensuring high-quality code. The ideal candidate is proficient in Java, C++, or Python, is comfortable with Git, SQL, Postgres, AWS, and collaborates effectively using Jira and Confluence. The position is a hybrid telework role, up to 16 hours per week.

Position Overview

Red Arch Solutions seeks a Software Engineer with experience building and testing software components in an Agile environment. The engineer will produce clear technical documentation and maintain high-quality code across Java, C++, or Python platforms, using Git, SQL, Postgres, AWS, Jira, and Confluence.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university plus fourteen (14) years of software engineering experience on projects with similar software processes. (Eighteen (18) years total of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for candidates without a qualifying bachelor’s degree.)
• Experience assisting with development and execution of test procedures for software components.
• Experience generating and reviewing software/technical documentation.
• Experience working in an Agile software development environment.
• Experience using Jira and Confluence.
• Ensuring quality control of all developed and modified software.
• Experience with the following software development skills: Git; Java, C++, Python; Relational database such as Postgres; SQL; Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Salary range for this position: $190,000–$195,000.
