Job summary

Meta is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join the Software Engineering (Infrastructure) team. The team builds large distributed components that run Facebook, delivering sub-second latency and fault tolerance at Facebook scale.

We handle data storage, synchronization of large server clusters, and a runtime for front-end Facebook code. You will lead cross-functional efforts, set technical direction, and influence staffing decisions while partnering with leadership to improve performance

Qualifications

• Vast experience communicating and working across functions to drive solutions.
• 12+ years coding in C/C++/Java/C#.
• 12+ years experience building server applications.
• Experience in driving large cross-functional/industry-wide engineering efforts.
• Proven track record of planning multi-year roadmap in which shorter-term projects ladder to the long term vision.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience leading projects with industry-wide impact.
• Significant experience in mentoring/influencing engineers across organizations.
