Job summary

LexisNexis Risk Solutions’ Flyreel Engineering team seeks a seasoned software engineering leader to guide large, multifunctional development efforts. You will mentor engineers, shape technical direction, and deliver data-driven insurance risk solutions.

You’ll partner across teams, drive architectural decisions, and ensure robust, scalable systems. You will work with customers and end users, write complex code for systems, and influence management with sizing and budget recommendations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Software Engineering experience.
• BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• Experience with Agile or Waterfall development processes.
• Data modeling and complex data models expertise.
• Experience leading external and internal tech resources.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary technical point of contact for external resources.
• Collaborate with customers and end users to shape solutions.
• Mentor and lead software developers on development methodologies.
• Define and size development activities; provide budget input if needed.
• Review detailed specifications for system components of moderate complexity.
• Tackle complex bug fixes and optimize data models.
