FloQast is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Los Angeles to own architectural integrity and long-term scalability across domains. You will lead cross-functional initiatives with autonomy, mentor peers, and drive AI-native product development within an agent-first workflow.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and scripting.
• Experience with Java/Go, Python, and scripting.
• Proficiency with Node, MongoDB, AWS, React/Redux or MERN-style stacks.
• Commitment to testing and code quality, craftsmanship in projects.
• Ability to work independently in a collaborative agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end development of medium-to-large features and systems for long-term scalability.
• Design and document system interactions for maintainability.
• Drive technical direction and reduce systemic bottlenecks.
• Improve system performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
• Lead the technical design, implementation, and delivery of complex systems.
• Partner with Product Managers to align timelines and priorities.
• Meet quarterly velocity and quality goals with high deployment standards.
• Design AI-friendly APIs and agent-based workflows for accounting workflows.
• Mentor 1-2 engineers regularly and guide peers across the team.
• Be a go-to engineer within your subdomain and unblock team momentum.
