Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking an experienced Software Engineer in Strategic Defense to join a team solving complex problems in networking, autonomy, and robotics. You will craft end-to-end systems alongside experts in AI, edge hardware, space solutions, and test engineering.

This role requires 8+ years of production software experience and an active U.S. security clearance. The position involves collaboration with multiple disciplines and travel to deploy capabilities in real-world environments.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Secret clearance or higher.
• 8–12+ years of production software experience in C++, Rust, Go, or Python.
• End-to-end ownership of a feature or service including design, implementation, deployment, and maintenance.
• Experience debugging code you didn’t write and systems you didn’t design.
• Ability to explain technical tradeoffs to non-engineers (operators, hardware teams, customers).
• Willing to travel up to 20% to Asia Pacific.

Responsibilities

• Own software solutions deployed to customers at the edge of innovation and necessity.
• Write code to improve robust C2 products and scale mission capabilities.
• Collaborate across multiple engineering teams to plan, build, and test functionality of complex systems.
• Partner with end-users to turn needs into features quickly while balancing UX and engineering constraints.
• Travel 10-30% with the team to build, test, and deploy capabilities in the real world.
