Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Cupertino, CA is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to build production services that automate the SSD lifecycle across EC2 platforms.

You will own end-to-end service development, design robust systems, and use AI-powered coding tools to accelerate prototyping, testing, and deployment for millions of drives and firmware combinations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a multi-year automation roadmap aimed at replacing manual workflows with scalable, reliable services.
• Build SSD qualification and fleet management solutions that improve drive health and reliability across EC2, EBS, and S3 platforms, partnering with software and hardware teams.
• Own end-to-end service development: requirements, design docs, implementation, testing, deployment, and operational runbooks.
