Job summary
Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Denver, CO is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to automate SSD lifecycle processes for EC2, EBS, and S3.
You will own design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operational runbooks for scalable software services affecting millions of drives and firmware variations. You will leverage agentic AI-powered coding and design tools to accelerate prototyping and delivery, while collaborating with hardware and software teams in a high-velocity
Qualifications
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to a multi-year automation roadmap aimed at replacing manual workflows with scalable, reliable services.
- Build SSD qualification and fleet management solutions that improve drive health and reliability across EC2, EBS, and S3 platforms, partnering with software and hardware teams.
- Own end-to-end service development: requirements, design docs, implementation, testing, deployment, and operational runbooks.
- Use agentic AI-powered coding and design tools daily to accelerate prototyping, testing, and code delivery.
