The role focuses on a distributed Metrics and Monitoring solution for HPC systems to ensure reliability and performance. The candidate will work on a team, utilize Splunk, and contribute to data-driven analytics, with leadership responsibilities as appropriate for the project.

Qualifications

• Experience with Linux CLI and Linux toolchains.
• Proficiency with Splunk SPL, dashboards, and reporting.
• Experience with Splunk onboarding, field extractions, models, and performance tuning.
• Experience with Splunk alerting and incident workflows.
• Familiar interfacing with Syslog-ng and rsyslog.
• Familiar with Kafka and message brokers.
• Experience with IaC (Ansible).
• CI/CD practices using GitLab CI; Git source control.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Debug existing software and correct defects.
• Design and code new software or modify existing software to add features.
• Write or review software and system documentation.
• Integrate existing software into new or modified systems.
• Develop data queries for databases or data repositories.
• Participate in Agile development processes.
• Lead software development teams as needed.
• Design and develop relational and non-relational database applications.
• Develop event/data driven analytics and cloud-based solutions.
• Ensure quality control of team products and processes.
