Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Colorado Springs is seeking a Senior Specialist, Software Engineering to design, develop, and maintain space command and control (C2) systems software. The role spans the full software development lifecycle and requires on-site work in Colorado Springs, CO.

The ideal candidate has extensive Java full stack experience, strong knowledge of modern containerized/cloud-native tech, and the ability to obtain a Security+ certification and TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with minimum 6 years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree with minimum 4 years of related experience.
• Active US Secret security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including testing and documentation.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and training to other employees.
• Manage large projects or processes within and outside the immediate job area.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and enhance space command and control (C2) systems software as a Java full stack engineer.
