Job summary

The World’s Identity Company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its Auth0 Security Engineering organization. You will join a team building and managing services that secure the Auth0 platform, expanding platform security controls, and architecting scalable workflows.

You will work with Python/Node.js/Golang, Kubernetes, and cloud-native tools, contributing to security automation, vulnerability remediation, and engineering excellence across deployments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining production-grade software services.
• Hands-on mastery of Python, Node.js, or Golang.
• Expertise with GitHub and CI/CD systems from an architectural/engineering perspective.
• Expert-level proficiency in Software Composition Analysis (SCA) and remediation of third-party/open-source dependencies at scale.
• Cloud-native environments (AWS or Azure) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Security-minded approach to building platform security controls and secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and operate platform security services and controls using Python, Node.js, or Golang.
• Contribute to security automation initiatives for custom tooling.
• Provide container security support for Kubernetes and containerized workloads, including runtime security and policies.
• Maintain high engineering standards through clean, tested, well-documented code and code reviews.

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer that will join the Auth0 Security Engineering organization. In this role, you will join a team of Software Engineers dedicated to building and managing services that secure the platform that Auth0 runs on. You will be instrumental in expanding our platform security controls and architecting custom workflows in a scalable, reliable manner.

What You Will Do

• Service Development: Build, maintain, and operate platform security services and controls using Python, Node.js, or Golang.

• Security Automation: Build and contribute to our security automation initiatives for custom tooling.

• Container Security: Provide technical support and engineering solutions for securing Kubernetes (K8s) and containerized workloads, including runtime security, network policies, and admission controllers.

• Engineering Quality: Write clean, testable, and well-documented code while driving technical designs and participating in code reviews to maintain high engineering standards.

• Vulnerability Management: Support remediation plan for vulnerabilities in partnership with Auth0 engineering teams, including development and commit of patches to remediate issues. .

What You Bring

• Software Development Experience: 5+ years of hands‑on experience designing, building, and maintaining production‑grade software services.

• Core Language Proficiency: Hands‑on mastery of Python, Node.js, or Golang.

• Expertise in using GitHub, and CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, Jenkins) from an architectural and engineering perspective.

• Expert‑level proficiency in Software Composition Analysis (SCA) and hands‑on experience in the practical remediation of third‑party and open‑source dependency vulnerabilities at scale.

• Cloud & Containers: Solid experience with cloud‑native environments (AWS or Azure) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Security Mindset: Practical experience building platform security controls, managing service permissions, and applying secure coding practices.

Nice to Have

• Experience with high‑throughput streaming platforms or log processing tools (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub, Vector).

• Experience with Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform) and Policy‑as‑Code tools.

• Familiarity with compliance standards (FedRAMP, SOC2) and security frameworks in multi‑cloud environments.

• Experience or interest in applying AI/ML tools to automate security workflows and analysis.

Below is the annual salary range for candidates located in Canada. Your actual salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, and experience. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in Canada is between:

$136,000—$187,000 CAD
