Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead design, development, integration, and prototyping for the Army's CUAS Network Communication System. You will build secure, low-latency software enabling network integration of MLIDS and FSLIDS for SHORAD missions.

You will lead across the full software lifecycle with focus on secure communications, cloud integration, and fast prototyping in contested environments, including zerotrust remote access and ATO documentation.

Qualifications

• Masters degree preferred; Bachelor's degree required in CS/SE/EE or related field.
• 15+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Senior development in C/C++, Python or Java for tactical systems.
• Current Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
• Experience in prototype development and secure communications.

Responsibilities

• Software architecture leadership across the full lifecycle.
• Rapid prototyping and demos for government evaluators.
• Secure communications development with encryption and MFA.
• Remote access engineering with zerotrust gateways.
• Cloud integration and low-latency performance tuning.
• Development for DoD cybersecurity, RMF/ATO processes.
