Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead design, development, integration, and prototyping for the Army's CounterUAS Network Communication System (NCS). You will build secure, low-latency tactical software enabling network integration of MLIDS and FSLIDS systems supporting SHORAD missions.

You will serve as a senior technical lead across the full software lifecycle, including architecture updates, rapid prototyping, secure communications development, cloud integration, and deployment

Qualifications

Master's or Bachelor's degree in CS, Software Engineering, EE, or related field.
15+ years of relevant experience.
Senior-level development in C, C++, Python, or Java for tactical/embedded systems.
Current Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
Leadership in prototype development and iterative build/test cycles.

Responsibilities

Architect software baselines and lead design across the full lifecycle.
Perform rapid prototyping and demos for government evaluators.
Develop secure, encrypted communications and remote access solutions.
Issue cloud integration and low-latency performance improvements.
Support cyber security, RMF/ATO, and documentation.
