Job summary

JPMorganChase in New York is seeking a Software Engineer III to join the Connected Commerce - Proprietary Wallets team. You will shape secure, scalable software solutions and contribute to critical technology programs across multiple business areas.

You will work in an agile environment, deliver production code, and apply enterprise-grade AI-assisted development tools while maintaining code quality and security standards to support the firm's strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Writes secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance - Java / Spring Boot / Microservices / RestAPIs.
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
• Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools with demonstrated ability to critically evaluate outputs for correctness, performance, and security.

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine approaches.
• Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
• Leverages enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity across complex deliverables, while validating outputs through peer review and automated testing.
• Applies knowledge of tools within the SDLC toolchain, including AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve automation value.
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while ensuring design constraints are met by code development.
• Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets for continuous improvement.
• Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture.
