Job summary

BeyondTrust is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to join the Engineering team, focusing on the Secure Remote Access suite. You will own the appliance base OS, the build and release pipeline, and the cloud infrastructure powering our solutions.

You will collaborate across teams to design, implement, and deploy scalable enterprise software, with strong emphasis on security, reliability, and performance while mentoring peers in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Extensive Unix/Linux experience.
• Proficient with Python and PHP.
• Experience with Laravel or similar MVC frameworks and large legacy codebases.
• Hands-on AWS experience (EC2, Route 53, S3, IAM, KMS).
• Experience with database design and administration.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code for complex client/server enterprise applications.
• Translate storyboards and use cases into functional applications.
• Collaborate with teams on feature design and product direction.
• Create test cases and documentation with QA for assigned projects/tasks.
• Triage issues with engineering and support, estimate time for tasks, and provide patches and builds.
• Deploy appliance images and software updates for on-premises and cloud deployments.
