Senior Software Engineer - Secret Clearance Preferred – Onsite

GDIT is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team.

US Citizenship required. GDIT will sponsor the Secret security clearance, and the candidate must be local to the area and work onsite.

This position offers a chance to participate in the development and operation of a high-performance big data system, joining a longstanding, stable program with a team following Agile principles. As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll perform software requirements analysis, participate in research, design, development, testing, and maintenance of an operational big data system.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Demonstrated understanding of software engineering concepts, principles, and applications
• Experience with database technologies, SQL, ETL, indexing, and performance optimization
• Deep understanding of object-oriented and functional programming, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or a related technical field.
• Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience

Skills you will use in this position

• Experience with modern C++ versions (C++11/14/17/20) in a Linux environment
• Working with very large databases, big data, and data warehousing
• NoSQL database technologies such as MongoDB

Salary range: The likely salary range is $119,000 - $161,000, but actual compensation will depend on experience, location, and contractual factors.
