This challenging and interesting software engineering/development position offers the chance to participate in the development and operation of a high-performance big data system, and join a longstanding, stable program with a team following Agile principles. As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll perform requirements analysis, participate in research, design, development, testing, and maintenance of an operational big data system.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Understanding of software engineering concepts, principles, and applications
• Experience with database technologies, SQL, ETL, indexing, and performance optimization
• Deep understanding of object-oriented and functional programming, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or a related technical field
• Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience

Skills in this position include:

• Proficiency with modern C++ (C++11/14/17/20) in a Linux environment
• Experience with large databases, big data, and data warehousing
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
• Web development skills
• Scripting languages like Python, Ruby, JavaScript, Bash
• Development of multi-threaded and multi-process applications
