Job summary

Lambda Inc. is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to design and build the next generation of our network platform. You will develop systems, services, and automation powering a software-defined network across data centers and cloud environments.

You will work deeply in the Linux networking stack, implement SDN integrations, and create tools to make our network programmable, reliable, and scalable.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering in systems, infrastructure or networking.
• Production-scale SDN design experience, with cloud-like functionality.
• Experience with OpenStack Neutron, OVN or equivalent networks.
• Strong Linux networking stack knowledge and tooling.
• Proficiency in C, Go or Python for network services.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git and GitOps workflows.
• On-call rotations and incident response involvement.

Responsibilities

• Design and build software to scale Lambda’s high-performance multi-tenant network.
• Develop automation for network configuration and deployments.
• Operate SDN services and control-plane software.
• Ensure highly available network services with observability and failover.
• Deliver predictable networking performance for clients.
• Maintain network monitoring and management tooling.
• Participate in on-call and incident response tooling.
