Job summary

AT&T is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Plano, TX to design, develop, test, and document scalable software solutions. You will collaborate with architects and DevOps to ensure high quality, secure, and maintainable applications leveraging Java/J2EE, Spring, microservices, and cloud tech.

You will mentor teammates, participate in reviews, and help define technical roadmaps while focusing on performance and availability in a fast-paced, enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, plus 3 years of related experience
• Experience designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting software components
• Proven ability to mentor teams, perform code/document reviews, and ensure scalability, security, and availability

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, debug, and document software components to meet business and operational needs
• Align development teams to a shared technical direction and collaborate with architects
• Build high quality code with unit testing and test-driven development
• Define and enforce non-functional requirements at the solution level
• Mentor team in best practices and participate in code/document reviews
• Collaborate with DevOps and support for technical issues
• Evaluate tools/technologies to optimize quality and performance
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical roadmap
