Job summary

AT&T is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Plano, TX to design, code, test and document components that meet business, quality and operational needs. You will align teams to a shared technical direction, work with architects and stakeholders, and drive high-quality, scalable software using Java/J2EE, Spring, RESTful and microservices in Azure cloud.

The role emphasizes security, performance, and availability of applications, mentoring teammates, and participating in architectural decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in IT or CS required.
• 3 years of experience in designing, coding, testing, debugging and documenting software.
• Experience establishing critical NFRs at the solution level and guiding reviews.
• Experience with scalable, secure, available software architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, debug, and document software components.
• Align development teams to a shared technical direction and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Develop and realize implementation of enablers with architects and portfolio stakeholders.
• Follow unit testing and test-driven development to build high-quality code.
• Mentor teammates and participate in code/document reviews for best practices.
• Troubleshoot code-level problems and work with DevOps and support teams.
