Job summary

Lower, LLC is building technology that powers digital mortgage, home finance, automation, and AI-powered experiences across the homeownership journey. As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll design scalable systems, own meaningful features, and collaborate with engineers, Product, Design, QA, and other partners to deliver reliable software that enhances the homeownership experience.

This is a hands-on, hybrid role with work locations in Columbus, OH (preferred) or Austin, TX.

Qualifications

Proven full-stack capability delivering backend and frontend solutions.
Strong problem-solving and ability to learn new frameworks quickly.
Proficiency in TypeScript, React, AWS, Next.js, Node.js, C#/.NET, Go, and PostgreSQL.
Experience with AI-assisted development tools and applying them to improve productivity and quality.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Design scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems.
Develop, test, and maintain software across frontend, backend, APIs, services, and data layers.
Maintain high code quality with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Contribute to deployment pipelines, monitoring, and production observability.
Collaborate closely with Product, Design, QA, and business partners to meet customer needs.
