L3Harris Technologies in Colorado Springs is seeking a Senior Specialist, Software Engineering to provide technical leadership for software sustainment of a fielded satellite communications system. You will design, implement, test, and document complex software features, and collaborate across engineering disciplines.

This role requires active TS/SCI clearance, on-site work in Colorado Springs, and strong experience with Python/Java/C/C++, Unix/Linux, and CI/CD pipelines. Travel may be involved.

Competenze

• Active Top Secret / SCI security clearance required.
• Bachelor's Degree plus 9+ years of experience, or Graduate Degree with 7+ years; 13+ years in lieu of a degree.
• Experience in production software development using Python/Java/C/C++.
• Strong Unix/Linux development and debugging skills, including shell scripting.
• Experience with software architecture, design, automated testing, and maintainable code.
• Technical leadership in design reviews, code reviews, and mentoring engineers.
• Ability to work on-site and communicate complex technical information to stakeholders.

Mansioni

• Lead design, documentation, implementation, code review, and automated testing of complex software features and sustainment releases.
• Own sustainment activities including security remediation, root-cause analysis, and system improvements; resolve customer-impacting issues.
• Provide technical guidance to team; contribute to standards, peer reviews, planning, estimation, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
• Partner with systems, test, cybersecurity, and customer stakeholders to define solutions, verify system behavior, and support deployment and readiness.
