Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Palm Bay, FL is seeking a Senior Specialist Software Engineer to stay hands-on building mission-critical software across web and embedded domains. You will develop full-stack apps with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Docker on Linux, and work with hardware integrations in a fast-paced team.

This is an individual-contributor role with opportunities for technical leadership; TS/SCI clearance and a strong security mindset are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience; graduate degree optional with 4 years; in lieu of degree, 10 years of related experience.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, and sustain high-reliability command-and-control software.
• Build full-stack web apps using React/TypeScript/JavaScript for UI and Python for backend services.
• Develop and deploy containerized software with Docker; apply OO design for maintainable code.
• Integrate software with hardware platforms and troubleshoot interfaces and data flows.
• Configure and troubleshoot Linux development, deployment, and runtime environments.
