Position Summary

This role provides primary support for the Salesforce platform, serving as the first point of contact for Level 1 support, and leading solution configuration and platform optimization efforts. It supports existing Salesforce solutions across the enterprise, helping various business verticals expand their capabilities. The software engineer collaborates with stakeholders and the IT Manager to improve user experience and operational efficiency.

The role involves daily administrative tasks, configuration of new features using declarative tools like Flows, Process Builder, and Validation Rules, and supporting multi-org governance, user access management, and platform performance monitoring to ensure reliability, scalability, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead end-to-end efforts, delegate tasks, review progress, and drive results; manage medium complexity features from design to completion.
  2. Contribute to the organization’s engineering and technology strategy by executing a software engineering roadmap.
  3. Perform coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting for moderate to high complexity projects with minimal supervision.
  4. Recommend improvements to the software development lifecycle and agile practices.
  5. Demonstrate application features, conduct research, design, and prototype on cross-functional teams.
  6. Translate designs and architecture into detailed specifications with users.
  7. Deliver high-quality solutions, estimate efforts, and update specifications collaboratively.
  8. Implement new architectures, standards, and methods aligned with business strategies.
  9. Document software designs and work with partners to meet standards.
  10. Support Salesforce, triage tickets, escalate issues as needed.
  11. Configure Salesforce solutions using tools like Flows and Process Builder.
  12. Manage user roles, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules.
  13. Create and optimize reports and dashboards.
  14. Document configurations and processes per standards.
  15. Conduct platform audits, monitor performance, and suggest improvements.
  16. Gather requirements and implement enhancements with stakeholders.
  17. Participate in Agile ceremonies and support deployments/testing.
  18. Coordinate with external vendors or Salesforce Support for issues.
Education and Experience
  1. Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field.
  2. 5+ years relevant IT experience.
  3. Salesforce Administrator certification (ADM-201) preferred.
  4. Additional certifications (Platform App Builder, Advanced Admin, Business Analyst) a plus.
  5. Experience supporting multi-org Salesforce environments preferred.
  6. Experience in oil and gas industry beneficial but not required.
  7. 2+ years hands-on Salesforce administration experience in Sales, Service, or Experience Clouds.
