Job summary

Red Hat, Inc. is hiring a Senior Software Engineer in Tysons Corner for a hybrid role with telecommuting options within commuting distance of McLean, VA. You will design scalable software frameworks and lead end-to-end delivery of safety-critical systems aligned with ISO26262.

You will develop frontend and backend components using React and Flask, optimize data models, and mentor junior engineers while enabling agile delivery on strict timelines.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in CS/IT with 3 years’ related experience or a B.S./B.A. with 5 years.
• 3 years’ experience with pipeline cloud platforms and IaC automation.
• ISO26262 Part-6 and MISRA-compliant development experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable software frameworks and libraries.
• Oversee end-to-end implementation from design to delivery.
• Automate repetitive tasks using Python or Bash.
• Implement components meeting ASIL requirements and safety constraints.
• Architect frontend and backend with React and Flask.
• Optimize database schemas for large data sets.
• Mentor junior engineers and enforce coding standards.
• Lead Agile process and manage delivery timelines.
• Create system architecture diagrams and API specs.
• Perform code reviews and static analysis with Coverity.
