Job summary

The Boeing Company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead end-to-end software development for the Rocky program, with 100% onsite work in Albuquerque, NM, El Segundo, CA, or Kent, WA. You will drive software design, implementation, and testing, shaping architecture strategies for Space Mission Systems.

You will influence cross-team delivery, mentor engineers, and ensure code quality and schedule adherence within a high-impact environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 10+ years of experience in foundational Computer Science knowledge and object-oriented design and software patterns.
• Experience with systems engineering or software development on space-based or ground-based systems.
• Experience with Software Engineering principles including Software Configuration Management, Architecture and Design, and Software Life Cycle Management.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the design, development, and analyses of software systems.
• Partners with stakeholders to translate software requirements meeting performance requirements.
• Oversees software system-level analyses to identify risk and opportunities.
• Leads software team through code reviews to ensure alignment to requirements and standards.
• Oversees product and process reviews for alignment with project plans and industry standards.
• Researches and oversees implementation of current and emerging software technologies, tools, and frameworks.
• This position is expected to be 100% onsite in Albuquerque, NM.
