SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer for Simulations (Vehicle Engineering) in Hawthorne, CA.

You will design, develop, and test our in-house simulation software supporting flight systems, modeling fluids, electronics, and multi-body dynamics to enable high fidelity simulations. You will collaborate across engineering groups to build robust real-time infrastructure, prototype key concepts, and optimize performance, with the aim of supporting missions like Falcon, Dragon, Starship and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or STEM with 5+ years of software development.
• 2+ years of development experience in C++.
• Experience with simulation tools and real-time software.
• Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the high-fidelity real-time simulation software used for all vehicles.
• Develop prototypes to prove out key design concepts and quantify technical constraints.
• Maintain the highest standards of excellence, never settle for the status quo.
• Improve reliability and performance of simulation software.
• Work with simulation software users to develop new features and improve user experiences.
