Job summary

The ideal candidate has 20+ years in software engineering, strong real‑time processing experience, and a proven ability to collaborate with systems, hardware, and RF teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline.
• 20+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Extensive full-stack software development experience.
• Experience developing Python applications, scripts, or tools within the SWORD environment.
• Experience developing software for communications systems.
• Experience designing or supporting real-time or near-real-time processing systems.
• Experience debugging, testing, integrating, and maintaining complex software applications.
• Experience developing scalable, reliable, and highly available software solutions.
• Experience translating operational, user, and system requirements into software design and performance requirements.
• Experience integrating software with hardware systems, communications platforms, or external interfaces.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with software, systems, hardware, and RF engineering teams.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, technical leadership, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user, system, and mission requirements to derive software requirements.
• Design, develop, modify, test, integrate, and maintain complex software applications.
• Perform full-stack development across front-end, back-end, data-processing, and system-integration.
• Develop software solutions using C, C++, Python, and other applicable languages.
• Develop Python applications, tools, and automation within the SWORD environment.
• Debug and root-cause analysis to fix defects affecting performance.
• Design and maintain scalable mission systems with modern architecture.
• Develop software supporting RF processing and real-time data processing.
• Integrate software with hardware, RF, sensors, and external interfaces.
• Create test procedures and automation to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineers across disciplines and provide mentorship.
