Onyx is building the market for people who enjoy being right. We’re hiring a Senior Software Engineer to shape and build the systems at the center of Onyx, spanning TypeScript, React, React Native, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and AWS.

You’ll lead complex projects from design through production, setting a high bar for architecture and reliability. You’ll own full-stack features, backend services for markets and settlement, real-time APIs, and production infrastructure.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building production systems.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js with experience in React-based UIs.
• Production experience with PostgreSQL and AWS.
• Ability to design distributed systems and lead cross-functional projects.
• Excellent communication across engineering and product teams.

Aufgaben

• Lead design and delivery of full-stack features using TypeScript, React, React Native, and Node.js.
• Build backend services for markets, orders, execution, positions, balances, and settlement.
• Design APIs, real-time systems, and PostgreSQL workflows for reliability and data consistency.
• Build and operate production services and infrastructure in AWS.
• Integrate with exchanges, liquidity providers, payment systems, and financial partners.
• Set technical direction and improve system performance, observability, and fault tolerance.
• Collaborate with product, design, trading, and operations from problem definition through launch.
• Mentor other engineers and drive durable production fixes.
