Job summary

Onyx is hiring a Full Stack Engineer to build the systems and consumer experiences at the center of our platform. You’ll work across TypeScript, React, React Native, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and AWS, shipping product features and backend services used by customers and our internal teams.

You’ll own projects from idea to production, collaborating with product, design, trading, and operations. Expect to contribute across the stack and take on broader responsibilities as the platform grows.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
• Production-grade applications across frontend and backend.
• Good understanding of relational databases and data consistency.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and AWS in production.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship full-stack features using TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
• Develop customer-facing trading experiences across web and mobile.
• Build backend services supporting markets, orders, execution, positions, balances, and settlement.
• Design reliable APIs, real-time systems, and PostgreSQL workflows.
• Build and maintain production infrastructure in AWS.
• Integrate with exchanges, liquidity providers, payment systems, and financial partners.
• Improve system performance, observability, reliability, and fault tolerance.
• Partner with product, design, trading, and operations from concept through launch.
• Take ownership of the features and services you ship, including their operation in production.
