Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Overseer team in FinHub, Platform group. You will build and scale the real-time integrity layer that enforces financial correctness across coin fund flows.

You will own end-to-end workstreams, design correctness models with partner teams, and operate detection systems in production to ensure billions of transactions stay accurate and trustworthy.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
• Backend programming in Go, Ruby, or Python.
• Experience with streaming data infra and real-time processing.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale real-time invariant enforcement systems across fund flows.
• Own workstreams end-to-end from design to production operations.
• Develop AI-powered guardrails to flag deviations at initiation.
• Partner with FinHub, Payments, and Trading to design correctness contracts.
• Mentor junior engineers on distributed systems and production practices.
