• 5+ years building and operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
• Backend proficiency in Go, Ruby, or Python for platform-scale infrastructure.
• Experience with streaming data infrastructures and real-time processing.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale real-time invariant enforcement systems across Coinbase's fund flows.
• Own workstreams end-to-end from design to production operation.
• Develop AI-powered guardrails and proactive invariant discovery.
• Collaborate with FinHub, Payments, and Trading to design correctness contracts.
• Mentor junior engineers on distributed systems and production practices.
