Job summary

Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a Software Engineer to join an Agile team that delivers real-time processing solutions for mission-critical products. You will collaborate with hardware, software, subsystems, and systems engineering to translate requirements into robust architectures and high-quality code.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 5+ years of software experience, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent engineering/technical degree.
• Minimum 5 years of software engineering or equivalent engineering/technical experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Level Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating the planning, organization, integration, and completion of software development projects.
• Coordinating activities concerned with technical development and resolving engineering design and test problems for specific S4R program(s).
• Identifying and facilitating the resolution of SW development blockers.
• Assisting in the development and ownership of software processes and future SW strategy.
• Leveraging proven processes, lessons learned, and best practices from other parts of business or industry.
• Reviewing program estimates and facilitating the collection of regular metrics to inform SW progress and serve as historical basis for future work.
• Supporting overall Agile development process through the planning and execution of Cycle Planning, Cycle Review, Retrospectives, and continuous monitoring throughout the development.
• Providing SW status and plans to program leadership and supporting program level meetings, presentations, and reviews.
