Job summary

CoStar Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join the Analytics team in San Diego, CA.

You will drive full-lifecycle development of real estate analytics products, handling large data sets with scalable, reliable software and AI-assisted workflows. The role requires 7+ years in software development, strong OOP, and expertise in C#, .NET, Web API, Node, JavaScript, React, and SQL Server.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited, not-for-profit, in-person college/university.
• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development workflows in production environments (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, etc.).
• Solid understanding and experience with Object Oriented Programming.
• Deep knowledge of modern server-side languages and frameworks (C#, .NET Framework, Web API, Node).
• Knowledge of modern frontend languages/frameworks (JavaScript, React).
• Expertise with relational databases such as SQL Server.
• Experience with Source Control (Git or TFS).

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, data-intensive applications.
• Own development, testing, deployment and production support.
• Collaborate with engineers, product owners, designers and leadership.
• Contribute to technical architecture and design decisions.
• Advocate for evolution and improvements including AI-assisted workflows.
• Develop domain understanding of CoStar’s analytics products.
