Job summary

CoStar Group in San Diego seeks an experienced Technical Business Analyst to translate business data into clear specifications for multi-project analytic products. This role is based in San Diego (UTC) with in-office work Monday-Thursday and remote on Fridays.

You will gather requirements, write acceptance criteria, and collaborate with product, design, QA, and development teams to drive data-driven features for internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• 3+ years of experience with B2C or B2B applications.
• Experience with technical documentation or use case writing.
• Experience creating user stories with acceptance criteria.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with PM tools such as JIRA and Team Foundation Server.

Responsibilities

• Understand CoStar business goals and collaborate with Product Development and Design.
• Write acceptance criteria for user stories for the development team.
• Maintain direct communication with developers, QA, management, product design to accomplish team goals.
• Respond to product issues raised by internal and external groups.
• Identify and document business trends using real data.
• Hold stakeholder/grooming meetings to update progress.
• Document user requirements and business rules for development.
• Understand end-to-end test cases across applications.
• Work with QA to ensure comprehensive testing of new features.
