Job summary

Opus IVS in the United States seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design, maintain, and enhance desktop, web, and service-oriented applications using Python, Django, and PostgreSQL. You will participate in code reviews, write unit tests, provide effort estimations, and contribute across multiple projects in a SCRUM environment.

Strong OO design, RESTful APIs with Django, and experience with JIRA/Confluence are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum seven (7) years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience with Python, Django, PostgreSQL, and object-oriented design principles.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs with Django.
• Familiarity with SCRUM Agile SDLC and JIRA/Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and develop applications using Python, Django/Flask, and PostgreSQL.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain quality and promote team unity.
• Produce unit tests for existing and new code implementations.
• Provide detailed effort estimations when necessary.
• Work in a SCRUM Agile SDLC environment with multiple projects.
• Create and maintain documentation for implementations.
