Role overview

This senior engineering role involves building Python-based AI services for a large global professional services organization covering audit, tax, consulting, and advisory work. The position centers on scalable backend engineering with FastAPI and Pydantic alongside experimentation with multi-modal generative AI models and retrieval-augmented pipelines in a cloud-native, microservices environment. It blends individual contribution with technical leadership, mentoring, and ongoing collaboration with client stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements analysis, system design, Python and AI development, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and ongoing technical support.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable Python applications using FastAPI and Pydantic.
• Implement asynchronous and parallel patterns with asyncio to keep services responsive under load.
• Drive code quality through thorough reviews against established guidelines.
• Integrate and experiment with multi-modal generative AI models, including text-to-image and text-to-audio scenarios, and contribute to agentic AI applications.
• Coordinate the team's day-to-day technical work, mentor engineers, and act as a technical point of contact with the client.

Requirements

• An extensive track record in software development with deep Python and FastAPI experience.
• Hands-on use of Pydantic for data validation and schema definition in Python services.
• Solid practical knowledge of asyncio and asynchronous or parallel programming.
• Experience applying generative AI and large language models to real-world problems, including building agentic AI applications.
• Understanding of retrieval-augmented generation pipelines and hybrid search over vector databases.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a detail-oriented mindset, plus the ability to self-manage priorities and deadlines.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure Cloud services or other major cloud platforms, including Service Bus, Data Lake, Blob Storage, and Redis.
• Familiarity with agentic protocols such as MCP and A2A.
• Hands-on experience with the LangGraph stack, including long-term memory, human-in-the-loop workflows, and state management.
• Familiarity with .NET, microservices architecture, and containerization or orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
