Job summary

Coherent Solutions is seeking an AI Engineering Manager to lead two GenAI teams developing conversational agents and platform capabilities. You will mentor engineers, drive roadmaps, and deliver innovative AI-driven solutions across the advertising analytics platform.

You will collaborate with product, operations, and developers to align goals and ensure scalable, production-ready AI systems, with remote/hybrid work options and a focus on high-impact engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.
• At least 3+ years leading engineering teams.
• 6+ years building customer-focused full-stack apps.
• 2+ years hands-on Python with FastAPI and ORM (SQLAlchemy/Pydantic).
• Experience with TypeScript and NestJS.
• Proven ability to design AI agents using LangGraph/LangChain.
• Strong grasp of LLM concepts, RAG, prompts, guardrails.
• Experience with REST APIs and streaming with SSE/WebSockets.
• Proficient in SQL/PostgreSQL and data modeling.
• Experience with microservices, caching, multi-agent orchestration.
• Strong English communication; pager duty availability.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and observability.
• Experience with Pytest/Jest for AI systems testing.

Project Description

The project focuses on developing AI-driven solutions for advertising campaign analytics, insights, and automation. The AI Engineering Manager will provide technical leadership across two GenAI teams working on conversational agents and platform capabilities.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and mentor two GenAI teams developing conversational agents, manage team roadmaps, foster team collaboration, and oversee project delivery;
• Develop and implement innovative AI-driven solutions to advance platform capabilities;
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including developers, product managers, and business operations teams, to align goals and deliverables;
• Lead the development of conversational agents from concept through production deployment;
• Research advanced AI technologies and integrate external APIs and services into AI-driven solutions;

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field;
• 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams;
• 6+ years of experience building customer-facing full-stack applications;
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Python, including FastAPI, asynchronous programming, SQLAlchemy ORM, and Pydantic;
• Experience with TypeScript and NestJS;
• Experience designing and implementing AI agents using LangGraph and/or LangChain, including graph-based workflows, tool calling, structured outputs, and checkpointing;
• Strong understanding of LLM concepts and AI engineering practices, including RAG, prompt engineering, LLM parameters, guardrails, observability, and tracing;
• Experience designing REST APIs and implementing streaming responses using SSE and/or WebSockets;
• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases, including relational databases such as PostgreSQL;
• Experience with automated testing using pytest, Jest, and/or evaluation tests for AI systems;
• Familiarity with distributed system design, microservices, caching, API routing, and multi-agent orchestration;
• Proactive and collaborative mindset, with a passion for making an impact on engineering teams, products, and customers;
• Good written and spoken English at B2 level or higher;
• Willingness to participate in pager duty rotations as needed;

Nice To Have

• Experience with vector databases;
• Familiarity with columnar data warehouses such as Vertica or similar platforms;
• Experience with AWS and boto3;
• Experience with MCP, A2A, or text-to-SQL solutions;
• Familiarity with feature-flagging platforms such as Unleash or LaunchDarkly;
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code;
