Job description

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Python) to join our IP Content Technology team in India to help us build a content pipeline with an end-to-end data automation solution. If you are passionate about coding, Cloud, and have extensive experience in processing large volumes of data efficiently, we’d love to hear from you! We are looking for someone who has experience with Python and ideally has strong knowledge of databases.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments:

1. Graduates in BE/BTech/MTech – Computer Science
2. Minimum 3 years of experience as a Python Developer.
3. Good understanding of AWS, Database, and SQL
4. Experience analyzing and processing large data volumes using modern Python modules
5. Excellent Python programming, problem-solving, and communication skills as a global team player

It would be great if you also had:

1. Experience with ETL technologies will be a big plus
2. Extensive experience in writing Python scripts in Linux with massive parallelization
3. Experience using and debugging with Python libraries

What will you be doing in this role?

1. Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, design, develop, and implement a business rule engine to extract, ingest, and load data from various file formats into a standard data model.
2. Design, develop, and implement various API endpoints to manage the automation processes, support frontend components, and communicate with external service components.
3. Produce efficient, maintainable, and well-tested code by practicing the code review process, following code style guides, writing documentation, and ensuring test coverage.
4. Be a team player, participate in all the SCRUM ceremonies.
5. Collaborate with other members of the team to ensure release timelines are met within an Agile environment.
6. Work with remote teams in different time zones to meet delivery deadlines.
7. Be an example for the development team for effective and timely delivery.

About the Team

The IP Content Technology team consists of multiple squads working on processing patents and trademark data available in the world to provide insights to our customers with data acquisition, ingestion, and delivery of data to customers covering all phases of the data lifecycle.

Hours of Work

This is a full-time opportunity with Clarivate, 9 hours of work per day including a lunch break. You should be flexible with working hours to align with globally distributed teams and stakeholders.
