Job summary

Heron Power is seeking a Software Engineer/Senior Software Engineer to join our software team. You will build the systems that power our factory floor, internal tools, data infrastructure, and deployment pipelines, delivering scalable backend services and data flows.

You will own features end-to-end, especially as a Senior, guiding architecture, mentoring peers, and collaborating with hardware, manufacturing, and operations to translate real-world needs into reliable software in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in CS/engineering or related field.
• 2+ years for Software Engineer level; 5+ years with ownership of production systems for Senior level.
• Experience building and operating backend services in production.
• Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS or equivalent) and containers; familiarity with Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling for reliable shipping.
• Observability, security, and operational best practices knowledge.
• Strong written and verbal communication; cross-team collaboration.
• Track record delivering projects end-to-end; seniors lead ambiguous cross-functional projects and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Build backend services, data pipelines, developer tooling, and cloud deployment infrastructure.
• Write production code and design scalable systems from early production to volume manufacturing.
• Own features and services end-to-end; seniors tackle larger, more ambiguous problems and mentor others.
• Collaborate with hardware, manufacturing, supply chain and operations to translate real-world requirements into robust systems.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and raise engineering bar through code reviews.
