Job summary

CJ Engineering is seeking a Software Engineer 3 for the EngExp platform team in Needham, MA. You will help run and evolve CJ's production systems across AWS regions, focusing on observability, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and cost visibility.

You’ll own meaningful pieces of the platform and drive changes from design through production. You will work in a hybrid role with three in-office days per week, collaborating across squads to improve reliability, performance, and developer experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in software or infrastructure engineering.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on production experience with Kubernetes and at least one major cloud (AWS preferred).
• Comfortable owning infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Effective communication; thrives in a collaborative, pair-friendly team culture.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve meaningful platform components with a focus on what is happening and why.
• Manage infrastructure-as-code with Terraform across AWS accounts.
• Build and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines and GitOps delivery (ArgoCD).
• Help enforce platform standards: RBAC, admission webhooks, resource limits.
• Turn recurring requests into self-service workflows and respond to platform incidents.
