Tabs, the AI Operating System for Revenue, seeks a Senior Software Engineer, Platform in New York, NY to become the backbone of its engineering organization. You will build tooling and infrastructure that lets every other team ship faster and run reliably.

You will own build tooling, CI/CD pipelines, developer containers, observability stacks, and API standards. You’ll help shape an internal PaaS and work with product teams to remove bottlenecks so the rest of engineering can move quickly.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Startup experience with broad surface area at a growth-stage company.
• Hands-on depth with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and build tooling.
• Fluency in TypeScript, Python, or a comparable modern language.
• Strong foundation in computer science and pragmatic tradeoffs.

Tabs, the AI Operating System for Revenue, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Platform in New York, NY to become the backbone of its engineering organization. You'd be building the tooling and infrastructure that lets every other team ship faster — the kind of work that goes unnoticed until things run smoothly, which is exactly how you want it.

What You'll Build

Platform engineers at Tabs are the first and last line of defense. You'll own the systems that turn a commit into production: build tooling, CI/CD pipelines, developer containers, observability stacks, and the API standards every product team builds against. A lot of this work lives outside any product roadmap — it's yours to define.

You'll also help shape an internal platform-as-a-service currently in the planning stages, giving you direct influence over where the engineering organization is heading. All of it supports a product that runs the contract-to-cash lifecycle for high-growth companies, where reliability is measured in real money.

Who We're Looking For

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Startup muscle memory — you've owned broad surface area at a growth-stage company, not just a narrow lane on a well-staffed team
• Hands-on depth with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and build tooling
• Fluency in TypeScript, Python, or a comparable modern language, written with maintainability in mind
• A track record of operating production systems and reasoning about failure modes
• A strong computer science foundation and the pragmatism to make hard tradeoffs under constraint

Beyond credentials, Tabs values engineers who dive deep instead of handing off, finish what they start, and collaborate without ego. You'll partner directly with product engineering teams to identify bottlenecks and remove them — measuring your success by a single question: can the rest of engineering ship faster because of what you built?

Compensation & Benefits

Tabs offers a competitive salary range of $180K–$240K plus equity.
