Job summary

HomeToGo is hiring a Senior Software Engineer in Cracow to join a consumer product team and shape the roadmap with engineering leadership. You’ll work with a modern stack including Symfony, MariaDB, ElasticSearch, Snowflake, Redis, Aerospike, RabbitMQ, Docker, and Kubernetes, impacting product quality at scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend development (ideally with PHP/Symfony).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Familiar with relational databases (e.g., MariaDB, PostgreSQL).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive technical solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Understand the fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Drive the implementation of technical initiatives to improve the quality of our product
• Partner with Product to impact the roadmap and ensure engineering decisions align with user needs
• Collaborate closely within a cross-functional team as well as other engineering teams to understand business requirements and ensure the timely delivery of features
• Work closely with architects to identify and address technical challenges, ensuring the scalability, reliability, and usability of our Marketplace products
• Take ownership of engineering decisions for larger topics and features
• Be a part of a push to improve the product delivery process

How you’ll add value
