Job summary

FreedomPay is seeking a senior application developer to join a fast-paced Agile team. You will design, implement, and test features across .NET, SQL, MVC, and SPA architectures, with emphasis on maintainable code and secure API layers.

You will work on evolving payment systems, collaborate with stakeholders, and help shape standards while delivering high-quality software in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 7 years of experience in application development and testing using .NET and SQL.
• Strong web development experience using MVC and jQuery.
• Deep understanding of SPA framework architectures (React, Angular, Redux), TypeScript, server-side rendering, and API layers with security considerations.
• Exposure to agile software development.
• Expert-level understanding of web technologies (CSS, HTML, JavaScript, WebSockets).
• Strong knowledge of web performance, localization, and accessibility best practices.
• Experience breaking down monolithic web applications into components.
• Excellent problem solver who delivers innovative solutions.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable team member with effective English communication (listening, speaking, writing).
• Strong SQL Server development skills
• Understanding of secure coding practices
• Familiarity with Git
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• Must pass a criminal background check

Responsibilities

• Work within the Agile Scrum team to create stories, tasks, estimates, and deliverables each Sprint
• Analyze requirements and translate specifications into system designs
• Apply systems thinking to create solutions across environments and products
• Collaborate in the selection of software development tools and frameworks
• Influence product design by being the voice of maintainability
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality and rigorously consistent products
• Contribute to the design of the company's software standards
• Code application libraries for reusability and testability
• Define projects, tasks, and release deliverables
• Contribute to software process improvement
• Strive to become a subject matter expert in FreedomPay products and the payment industry
• Interface with internal stakeholders
• Learn and adapt to the evolving hardware and software environments of payment systems and processing
• Update technical documentation
• Work with the QA team to ensure proper test plans, test coverage, and test execution
