Pentice in the United States seeks a senior software engineer to own a technical domain end-to-end, delivering reliable, observable systems with a fast-moving, high-ownership culture.

You will work with TypeScript/Node and React, ship production-ready features, and collaborate directly with the Founding Engineer to scale critical workflows, APIs, and data models across external integrations.

Qualifications

• Typically 5+ years of software engineering experience with backend or fullstack focus.
• Demonstrated ability to ship production systems, frontend and backend, with high uptime.
• Strong fundamentals in backend systems, API design, and data modeling.
• Fluency in English and excellent written/spoken communication.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL (PostgreSQL a plus).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) and modern observability tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own a technical domain end-to-end within the platform.
• Develop core operational workflows (reservation, turn, guest-service logic).
• Implement external integrations and data synchronization (Guesty, Stripe, etc.).
• Design APIs, data models, and event-driven systems.
• Improve reliability, monitoring, and production systems; scale with the Founding Engineer.
