Job summary

Fivetran, Inc. is seeking a senior software engineer to join the Orchestration team, owning the control plane for the dbt platform. You will design, implement, and review features across high-throughput APIs, focusing on speed, reliability, and scalability.

This is a full-time, fully remote role with collaboration across product, design, and engineering. You will work on the scheduler, execution harness, and results processing, leveraging AI tools and modern backend tech to deliver robust

Qualifications

5+ years of experience designing and building backend services.
Experience with distributed systems and cloud computing concepts.
Demonstrated ability to write well-structured, performant, and well-tested code.

Responsibilities

Design and implement features and performance improvements across the Orchestration team.
Develop, maintain, and test high-quality, maintainable code with optimized paths.
Write technical designs and review trade-offs with the team.
Participate in design reviews and pull requests to provide feedback.
Improve test coverage with unit tests and reduce tech debt.
Troubleshoot production issues and post-mortems with mitigation plans.
Collaborate with product managers, QE, and support to deliver a high-quality product.
