Taskrabbit is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer for the Operations Technology Team in San Francisco. You will lead, mentor, and build end-to-end features across the stack, focusing on scalable backend APIs to support clients, taskers, and internal users.

Emphasis on test-driven development, code reviews, and cross-functional collaboration. The role is hybrid, requiring in-person presence two days per week in SF, with a culture that values innovation, inclusion, and practical

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience
• Experience building API-driven applications
• Understand how to organize code across the stack (frontend vs backend)
• Comfortable with test frameworks
• Strong advocate of clean code

Responsibilities

• Work across the entire tech stack in a cross functional team to build end-to-end features
• Collaborate with design and product management to conceptualize new product features
• Build backend APIs to support clients, taskers, and internal users
• Organize code across the stack (frontend vs backend)
• Architect and create complex backend solutions
• Mentor junior engineers and review code
• Contribute to documentation of best practices
• Help solve debugging, testability, and deployability challenges
• Collaborate across teams for consistency
• Contribute to the technical roadmap and progress reporting
