Job summary

PDS Defense, Inc. in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Software Engineer-Developer 5 to lead end-to-end software development for the Rocky program, covering architecture, design, development, and testing to meet milestones.

This role requires a Top Secret clearance and hands-on experience with Java, C++, Python, REST, and CI/CD in a ground-space mission environment. You will guide teams through full lifecycle engineering and collaborate with government and commercial customers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of foundation CS knowledge and OO design patterns.
• Experience with space/satellite ground mission capabilities or similar domains.
• Active Top Secret US Security Clearance with ability to obtain SCI access.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, development, and analyses of software systems.
• Translate requirements into software models to meet customer and performance goals.
• Oversee code reviews and ensure alignment with standards and requirements.
• Guide software teams through full development lifecycle and CI/CD workflows.
• Investigate new software technologies and integrate them into programs.
