Job summary

Anduril Industries, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, improve, and maintain the core package set that enables software distribution across our company. You will package components with Nix, set standards, and plan architectural changes, while mentoring engineers in large-scale usage.

You will work autonomously in a complex environment, breaking down problems into simple solutions and training others on Nix-based workflows.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Nix, Nixpkgs, NixOS and functional programming.
• Deep understanding of how build systems and packaging ecosystems work.
• Ability to dive into large and complicated systems, and use Nix to improve them.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an internal package set to enable software distribution company-wide.
• Package open-source and proprietary components using Nix.
• Improve developer ergonomics by defining Nix usage standards and tooling.
• Provide assistance, training, and mentorship to other team members.
