Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Santa Clara is seeking senior software engineers for the Nitro team to build the next generation of network management and compute infrastructure for EC2.

You will work on C/C++ or Rust, with supporting Python and Lua tooling, delivering features across Hypervisor and Nitro platform while collaborating with engineers and leaders to shape architectural direction and drive high-quality code.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and architecture decisions for compute and networking features.
• Collaborate with EC2 principals to deliver new instance types and capabilities.
• Contribute high-quality code in C/C++ or Rust and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
