Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is hiring a Software Development Engineer for the Nitro Firmware Team. You will work at the intersection of EC2 hardware and software, updating firmware across fleets and building tools to measure performance and deployment at scale.

You will collaborate with EC2 Principal engineers, silicon designers, and hardware teams, participate in design reviews, automated tests, and on-call operations, while helping to maintain a high bar for reliability and customer experience.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience.
• Experience programming in at least one language.

Responsibilities

• Develop firmware for EC2 Nitro fleet across components.
• Improve deployment, monitoring and firmware performance.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and platform enablement.
• Collaborate with hardware designers and partners to scale updates.
